Thanksgiving Parades!

We finally decided that we would bite the bullet and head to Manhattan for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was fabulous!Here we are the morning of the Thanksgiving Parade - 6 am at the Stamford Train Station to grab a train into Manhattan. The train was packed!

We took the subway up to the East Side and then walked across the park to Central Park West around 65th street. We found a big concrete pillar at the edge of the park, and I helped Corinne get up on top of it.

I stayed down in the crowd for a couple of minutes, but then climbed up on to the pillar to join Corinne. Although it was tight to both fit on top of the pillar, the view was much better.

The parade started with the Turkey!

We walked over to the ice skating rink in Central Park, which was getting ready for hundreds of happy skaters.

All in all, the parade was awesome! Probably a little colder and more crowded than we'd expected, but worth the adventure. Hope you enjoy the photos.
