The Greenwich Ferry

We went on this great ferry in Greenwich which goes to a little island out in the middle of the sound that has a beach and you just relax all day on an island.

This is the view we had while waiting for the ferry to get started. Behind this gigantic yacht is this new swanky restaurant in Greenwich that is all the rage. I guess this person just pulled up their yacht for lunch.

We are ready to get out to the water.

The top of the ferry. In the background is this cool old boat.

There are some huge estates on the waters edge on the way out to the island. If you can see this person has built their own mini blue suspension bridge to the water.

The bridge with the house.

The first view of the island.

Yeah we made it.

Allan relaxing.

We went with some friends to the beach. This is Melinda with her baby boy Jackson.

Another big estate.

Allan with his farmers tan!

We saw this huge baby. His diaper was hanging on for dear life!

One really cool thing is you feel like you are in another world on this little island but if you look you can see the Manhattan skyline!

I love riding on ferry's. I love the ones in Seattle and the ones here in SF. Best view of any bay and usually a lot less expensive than the site seeing boats. The best view of the cargo ships being unloaded at the docks is by taking the ferry between SF and Oakland! Looks like this one in no exception, what great scenery! Except for that baby, he needs a Dr. Phil intervention.

I busted up with your comment about the baby's diaper hanging on for dear life! Corinne, you have such a way with words. I am still laughing. Such fun pictures of you two. I am delighted that you two finding time to play together. Love, Mom2

At the beach in San Francisco

At the beach in San Francisco
During our Christmas visit to CA, we went to Baker's beach to take some photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Welcome...

Yes, yes, we realize we're jumping on a bandwagon....but come on, it's just so much fun! How else can you turn yourself or your family into instant celebrities?! Or make everyone else think you have a perfect life...

Anyway, welcome to our newest addition! It doesn't cry or need attention. And no diaper changing. Whatever we tell it to do, it does (until the computer crashes). And we can sleep in on Saturday.

Well, life is good. We live in Connnecticut. You know, the place about which Glenn Close's character in the Stepford Wives said, "Where in America could a whole town of robots go unnoticed? Connecticut!"

Allan is working as a Landscape Designer and Corinne is working as a Singer/Dancer/Actress! We have the greatest church ward this side of the Mississippi - lots of big active families and our chapel is only 2 miles away. Allan serves as the 11 year old primary teacher and Blazer leader, and Corinne is the YW Personal Progress Leader. There are hundreds of young people in our ward, so it's busy!

Browse our recently added pictures, slideshows, and posts. We'll do our best to keep it updated.

The parade!

The parade!
There is a big balloon parade put on by UBS, and they set everything up just outside our balcony -- cool!
